The Tractor Museum of Southern Ostrobothnia

The Tractor Museum of Southern Ostrobothnia is located in Nurmo, approximately seven kilometres from the centre of Seinäjoki. The museum operates in an old youth association building, which was renovated in 1978, and a hangar built in 2001–2003. The museum opened its doors in autumn 2004.

Today, it houses Finland’s largest private collection of tractors. The collection consists of 150 tractors, 100 of which have been restored. The museum is primarily open by prior arrangement, and visitors can explore the exhibition independently or with a guide. Guided tours are designed for groups but they are also arranged for individual visitors upon request. No time limit is set for unguided visits. Visitors are advised to contact the museum in advance, but those interested in the collection can visit the workshop located in connection with the museum to enquire if Matti Jaskari, the founder of the museum, is present.
