Salainen Puutarha Inn

The Salainen Puutarha Inn is located in Kauhajoki, Western Finland, in an old vicarage that dates back to the 1890s and is surrounded by a lush, rambling garden. The hotel offers six unique rooms, each decorated in a relaxed style.

In the course of its history, the old vicarage has been a place to stay, a venue for religious assemblies, and its chapel has seen people christened and married. People have also gathered there for Sunday school and serious discussions during the Winter War. The old building has also seen pre-schoolers learn their ABCs and locals celebrate Finland’s newly achieved independence. It is a house where people have loved, argued and discussed.

Now this rich history serves as a backdrop for the building’s new life as a hotel, lending it the kind of slightly bohemian air that makes it the perfect place for a relaxing stay. As a company, the hotel is a new addition to the Valkoinen Puu chain, which consists of four cafés in Kauhajoki, Seinäjoki, Tampere and Jyväskylä.
