Like so many great Finnish innovations before it, Kyrö Distillery grew from an idea developed in a sauna: why not make whisky from Finnish rye? The distillery found a home on the former premises of Isokyrö’s dairy, in the building where the popular Finnish Oltermanni cheese was made. The operations got off to a good start in 2014, and the distillery has been awarded several international recognitions since then, and it now sells its products in dozens of countries.
Kyrö Distillery Home is Kyrö Distillery Company’s distillery restaurant and visitor centre. During opening hours, the distillery arranges interesting distillery tours and tasting events. Visitors can also savour unique cocktails made from locally-grown ingredients. The restaurant prepares dinners using local produce for groups by request, and a tasting event, cocktail course or a distillery tour can be organised in connection with the visit. Kyrö Distillery Home also hosts a wide range of events throughout the year.
