This loop in Lauhanvuori National Park takes you to explore the region’s fascinating geological history and natural features. The viewing tower at the hilltop of Lauhanvuori offers expansive views over the surrounding forests. An ancient island, this hill is surrounded by age-old shores, boulder terraces and dunes, hiding amid woods. Along the route, you can take a dip in the refreshing waters of Spitaalijärvi, a lake believed to have healing powers. You will also find rest areas along the shores. The trail is one of the Lauhanvuori-Hämeenkangas UNESCO Global Geopark’s main routes.
