Wanha Markki

Wanha Markki – an award-winning summer attraction!

Retirement home for animals

Upon arrival at this 200-year-old Ostrobothnian farmyard, you will be welcomed by a flock of sheep, a pony, a donkey, ducks and many other animals roaming the area. These animals spend their well-deserved retirement days at Wanha Markki, receiving all the pampering and care they could wish for. The artists Liisa-Cristiina and Heikki Laaksonen established Wanha Markki and its animal sanctuary more than 20 years ago, and the centre rapidly overcame its initial challenges to become a popular visitor attraction.

Fashion

‘Amazing’ and ‘unbelievable’ – these exclamations can be heard daily in Wanha Markki’s fashion shop. Liisa-Cristiina selects the most charming accessories and items of clothing from European makers for special occasions and everyday use. The shop offers all the accessories you need to give your outfit that all-important finishing touch, including bags, scarves and jewellery.

Sauna and Spa range

Wanha Markki’s Sauna and Spa range, which saw the light of day as a result of a happy accident, has become well-known across Finland. The products in the range are made from the best ingredients, by the best manufacturers. They bring together clean Finnish nature, high quality, and luxurious and fully recyclable packaging, guaranteeing a harmonious and natural experience. WARNING – these products may be addictive.
